Refund Policy

In short

We want you to be happy with VoicePaste. If it's not working for you, email support@voicepaste.app and we'll sort it out. Within the windows below, refunds are automatic and no explanation is needed. Outside those windows, we still review requests case-by-case and tend to say yes.

VoicePaste Local (one-time purchase)

The $40 VoicePaste Local license is covered by a 30-day money-back guarantee. If you're not satisfied for any reason, email us within 30 days of purchase and we'll issue a full refund, no questions asked.

After 30 days, refund requests are considered on a case-by-case basis. If the app has a defect that prevents you from using it, we'll refund you regardless of timing.

Refunded licenses are revoked, and the promotional tagline returns to transcriptions in VoicePaste Local mode. Your local history, audio, and settings are not affected.

VoicePaste Cloud (subscriptions)

You can cancel your subscription at any time through the Paddle customer portal or by emailing us. After cancellation, your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period, after which you revert to the free tier. No further charges occur.

Monthly subscriptions

We refund the most recent monthly payment if you request it within 14 days of that payment, regardless of how much quota you've used.

Yearly subscriptions

We refund the full yearly payment if you request it within 30 days of purchase or renewal, regardless of usage. After 30 days, we can offer a prorated refund for the unused months, minus any months already consumed at the equivalent monthly rate.

Exceptional cases

Regardless of the windows above, we'll process a refund anytime for: accidental double-purchases, billing errors, failed transcriptions caused by a service outage on our end, or other situations where you reasonably couldn't use what you paid for. Just email us.

How to request a refund

Email support@voicepaste.app with:

  • The email address you used at checkout, or your Paddle order ID
  • A brief note about what you'd like refunded (not required, but helpful)

We typically respond within 1–2 business days. Refunds are processed by Paddle to the original payment method and usually land within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank or card issuer.

Paddle as merchant of record

All payments are processed by Paddle, which acts as our merchant of record. Paddle handles payment processing, tax compliance, invoicing, and the actual refund transaction. You can also contact Paddle directly through their buyer support at paddle.net.

Consumer protection rights

Nothing in this policy limits the statutory rights you may have under applicable consumer protection laws. If you are a consumer in the European Union or United Kingdom, you retain your 14-day right of withdrawal for digital goods and services where applicable.
